Community Service Learning Club Members - check Google classroom for a survey to let us know what projects you want to participate in for terms 3-4.  New members are welcome! See Ms. Browning and Ms. Moniz. We will meet Thursday, January 17th to make plans for the remainder of the year!

Community Service Opportunity – The Tri-Town Preschool Program, located here at the high school, is currently seeking volunteers to assist in the preschool classroom. There are several opportunities before, during and after school. If you enjoy working with young children and would like to gain valuable experience as well as community service hours, please send your name along with the days and times available to:

On Wednesday, January 9th, during homeroom, students who took the 2018 PSAT will receive their score report.  A brief assembly will then be held in the auditorium during bulldog block and counselors will present a brief overview of the information contained in the report.  A video link of this presentation is available on the guidance webpage for families to view.

On Thursday, January 10, during bulldog block:  ORR 2017 graduate, Andrew Nadeau, will be here to discuss the admissions process and what life is like at the Virginia Military Institute.  Sign up with your mentor under Guidance.

Attention freshmen and sophomores - PCC (Project Contemporary Competitiveness) applications are now available in guidance.  PCC is a 4 to 6 week summer enrichment program on the campus of Stonehill College.  For more information and/or an application please see Ms. McPhee in guidance. Completed applications are due to guidance no later than January 25th.


Yearbook Information for Seniors: Yearbook Questionnaires are now past due! If you have any questions please email the Yearbook Advisor at Lynettelord@oldrochester.orgYearbook info for the Class of 2019 can also be found under the yearbook link on the ORRHS website under “The Week Ahead.” Senior Portraits and Baby photos are due by November 1st!

A reminder to college bound seniors:  Please submit your yellow sheets to your guidance counselor 10 school days before your deadline.  

Attention Seniors:  Please bring in copies of college acceptance letters to guidance.

Seniors, be sure to check the guidance bulletin for current scholarship opportunities.  You can find the bulletin in guidance, on the guidance webpage, or the scholarship list can also be found on Naviance.  Be sure to continually check the list as it is updated every 7-10 days. If you have any questions please stop by guidance to ask.


Cape Cod Community College and University of Massachusetts-Lowell James B. Francis College of Engineering have signed an articulation agreement that will provide guaranteed admissions and tuition remission to CCCC students who transfer into the UMass-Lowell’s Civil & Environmental, Mechanical, or Electrical & Computer Science Engineering departments. Any CCCC student who earns an Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology and Advanced Manufacturing with at least a 2.5 grade point average will be eligible to transfer via this new partnership.


Applications are now available in guidance for Massachusetts Maritime Dual Enrollment program for qualified high school students.  The program provides an opportunity for eligible high school students to enroll at MMA as non-degree students and have the course credit be recognized toward degree completion. You must have a minimum gpa of 2.5 to apply.  Completed applications are due to guidance by February 15th.  The following classes will be offered on Monday’s from 4pm-7pm, March 11 – June 17:  MS-1211 Current Environmental Problems (3 credits) and EM-2212 Intro to Emergency Management (3 credits)

The following class will be offered on Tuesday’s from 4pm-7pm, March 12 – June 18:  HU-1111 English Composition (3 credits)
