Dr. Linda Ashley Appointed Center School Principal

Dear School Community,

I am pleased to share with you that Dr. Linda Ashley will join the Center School community next school year as our new principal. She will assume her role on July 1st following the retirement of Principal Rose Bowman, and will be the full-time principal of Center School as part of the principalship restructuring of the Center and Old Hammondtown schools.

Dr. Ashley comes to our school community from the Franklin Public Schools where she has worked for almost 10 years as an elementary school Principal and most recently as the Pre-K-12 Curriculum Director for English Language Arts and History/Social studies. She has also served as an elementary Principal within the Milford Public Schools and Norton Public Schools. She began her career in education as an elementary classroom teacher in New Jersey.

Dr. Ashley has significant experience in elementary teaching and administration and is committed to providing an engaging and supportive learning environment for our youngest students, as well as fostering positive partnerships with staff and families to help students grow and succeed.

Tomorrow on June 8th - Dr. Ashley will visit Center School and be introduced to our students. We look forward to welcoming Dr. Ashley to Center School.

In closing, I have also shared a video that our students made titled "Will You Be Our Principal" that was used as part of the hiring process to ensure our students had a voice in the process.
