------------------------------ ORR Cheer Squad at NSTAR Walk for Children's Hospital On June 13, 2010 several of the ORR Bulldog varsity cheerleaders joined volunteers at the Hatch Shell to cheer on the more than 5000 walkers who walked 7 miles for the Nstar Walk for Boston Children's Hospital. Hundreds of volunteers lined the path of the 7 mile walk providing drinks, snacks and most of all encouragement. Despite the inclement weather spirits were high. The amount raised this year for the walk is currently at $1,242,616.51. Coincidentally, two of the Bulldog cheerleaders have actually been patients at Boston Children's Hospital and were especially passionate about this event.  |
--------------------------- Students being considered for National Merit Scholarships Congratulations to Nina Batt, Emily Bungert, Dana Dourdeville, Sofia Gabriel, Gregory Kornichuk, and Nathan Reynolds for being considered for the 2011 National Merit Scholarship competition. These students were among the highest-scoring students of the 1.5 million who entered the 2011 National Merit Scholarship Program. THese students will be notified in September of 2010 of their status. |
