 CultureGrams Online provides reports on more than 200 countries and includes maps, statistics, photographs and recipes. To access the reports, click on World Edition and then select a country from the drop-down menu at top left. Links to the many topics covered appear on the left. Note: This subscription database can only be accessed from a school computer. 

 

World History: Ancient & Medieval Eras
This award-winning database covers prehistoric times, the great ancient empires and more, up to the beginnings of the Renaissance.  Access is automatic from any school computer, but access from a home computer requires the proper log-in information. Please ask Mrs. Herrmann for help.

Newsbank provides articles from many popular magazines, as well as from the Cape Cod Times. Be sure to browse the Special Reports links (located on the home page) which group articles by categories such as Science and Health, Iraq, and World Environment.

The eLibrary database offers content from a huge number of newspapers, magazines, journals, books, maps, and images, including the Boston Globe, New York Times, and Wall Street Journal. Clicking on one of the seven colored category icons on the home page allows you to view a list of all the sources in that category. Recommended for more advanced research.
